Honoring Black History, Imagining Black Futures: Teach-In Series

The REPAIR Project and UCSF White Coats For Black Lives present: Honoring Black History, Imagining Black Futures

This new teach-in series, which began in February 2021, was designed to complement and enhance existing graduate and health professional school antiracist curricula and give students a new opportunity to deepen their knowledge and learn strategies to combat racism in healthcare and science. Sessions are led by faculty and graduate students from the UCSF Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in conversation with notable scholars and community activists nationwide in an informal, student-focused setting meant to facilitate student learning and inquiry. We seek to expand opportunities for antiracist scholar-activism for students in the health professions through collective, student-led curricular development. All community members and graduate and professional students, faculty, and staff at UCSF and beyond are welcome to join, but discussions are reserved for student participation.
